A bit about little ol’ me
I was born in Belfast and have lived in Nottingham since I was 6 months old. I have a background in IT and music technology and worked for Millennium Music making computers for recording studios before I went to uni. I completed my Psychology degree at the University of Lincoln UK in 2007, attaining first class honours
I currently work for Jigsaw as a Project Manager, planning and looking after Apple Mac and AV installs for companies and educational establishments. I have recently passed my Prince 2 Foundation and am working on getting Prince2 Practitioner qualification, so back to school!
I have been meditating for a few years and have a primarily Buddhist view of things, without the cultural trappings that it has acquired more recently. I was raised a Jehovah’s Witness (thanks mum) but binned that at 14, as it makes no sense to me. I love 70s/80s cars, loud basslines and tinkering with things. I score as an INTJ personality type, which means quietness, systemic thinking and perfectionism. I currently live alone, which is great as I need my own space. I don’t really drink and don’t like socialising much, I would rather be reading, learning or working on my business.
I paint, sculpt, write and read everything I can get my hands on. I’m a vegetarian, I’m intolerant to dairy and have a long running feud with onions. I used to have a hairy wart on the roof of my mouth. I have a younger brother here and here, who is writing a book on emotion, works for Pixel Lab as a consultant to the gaming industry and makes a really convincing pirate.
I have a ten year old daughter, who is also highly rational. She is annoyed because school is stupid, children around her are childish and adults (teachers, her mum etc) keep lying to her. Bless.
